Q. How do I order a cake?

A.  Email or by phone. You can send me an email to angel@myangelcakes.net or you may reach me on my cell 865.548.0606. Email is always a good way to get questions answered and finalize details.  I will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

Q. What is Fondant?

A. Fondant is a sugar dough that is rolled out and draped over the cake to create a silky smooth finish that is trimmed and detailed. It can be colored and or flavored as desired. Basic vanilla, coconut, rich dark chocolate or anything you like. Fondant has gotten a bad rap, mostly because many bakeries use a poor quality fondant that can have a terrible taste and texture. While fondant definitely has a different texture than traditional buttercream, it is much like a soft tootsie roll and it does have a  very yummy taste. The taste is much like icing because the primary ingredient is confectioners sugar. I have chosen to make my fondant because it has a much softer texture and is in my opinion, better than the prepackaged version. Homemade fondant also doesn’t have any preservatives in it, which make it very chewy and generally the reason some do not like it.

Q. What is Gumpaste?

A. Gumpaste is a sugar dough that is used to create intricate edible details. It looks a lot like fondant but hardens faster, so it can be used to make just about anything from a sugar stiletto to porcelain like flowers. Each gumpaste detail is hand painted and completely edible. Because gumpaste details are so beautiful and realistic they can be pricey because of the time it takes to create.

They are little works of art to me and one of my favorite things about cake making!

Q.Do you charge for delivery?

A.Yes.

Wedding and Groom's Cakes I generally charge a fee of $75-$125 for the Knoxville Metropolitan area and most of Sevier County. On occasion the fee may be more depending on how many mountain tops I must climb to get your cake safely to you.
*extra set up upon arrival may be an additional fee.

Birthday and Special Occasion Cakes  start at $25+ and are based on the specific cake and setup required.
