Celebration Cakes
Looking for a birthday or other special occasion cake? Well look no further…these are some of my favorite to do because they can be so fun to create. No two are the same. Some things to think about when planning are; What does the person you are getting the cake for like? What are their hobbies? Be specific. Does he or she like a sport? Musical instruments? Frogs or flowers? Do they have a favorite stuffed animal you want to replicate. No problem! The more info you can give me the better. Remember this is for their special day and the cake should reflect that.
There are three categories of custom cake design. 1-D, 2-D and 3-D.
1-Dimensional designs are illustrated drawings directly on the cake and can be as simple as copying the design from your invitation.
2-Dimensional designs are custom shapes cut out of sheetcake such as a butterfly or a ladybug.
3-Dimensional cakes are carved and sculpted out of blocks of cake to create a one-of-a-kind sculpture, such as a guitar or teddybear. These are original works of art and take a good deal of time to create. Because these cakes are so labor intensive and require time to design and research, they are expensive and usually created for a milestone birthday or special event.
Pricing is determined on a cake-by-cake basis depending on complexity of design, flavor choice and finish.
All 2 and 3 dimensional cakes are priced individually. Starting at $125+ for 2D and & $225+ for 3D sculpted. All 2 and 3 tier Special Event Cakes start at $150+ for simple design. Madhatter / Topsy Turvy cakes also priced individually and start at $175+
